A Couple of Notes

One last tid bit on the Mychal Bell, Jena 6 issue. Bell was the only black teen still being held in jail regarding the incident. Bell had been unable to post bail until last Friday.

When he was finally released from custody, the money had come from a complete stranger. Dr. Stephen Ayers acknowledged that he felt compelled to help the family of Mychal Bell and he did so by posting the bond. Bail had been reduced to $45,000 and Ayers had to ante up $5,400, the 12 percent bond set by a judge. Ayers is black.
