I'm not familiar with Deerfield Park area, are all students middle/upper class? I'm just wondering about families/students who don't have the opportunity to connect w/ the school from home. Are traditional methods still used to reach those who don't have access outside of school or does this community not exist in your district? I agree that Personal Learning Networks are priceless. I have learned more this year from my PLN than I did in 4 years of graduate school for technology education.
