		<description>Thanks for this excellent post.  But using Ballmer as some sort of exemplar is flawed. He was a buddy of Bill Gates who stayed with him as the business grew. Gates happened to retire at a very early age and put Ballmer into his spot. Ballmer seems to be just a caretaker exec and often acts very foolish in public.</description>
