		<description>Thank you for this post.  As a 3rd grade teacher, I especially appreciate your inclusion of the parent&#039;s role in the task of instilling a sense of balance when it comes to use of technology.  As educators, we are challenged to create engaging lessons that infuse technology, or we risk the chance of losing those learners who, as the Kaiser study indicates, often are in greater need of academic intervention.  Yet, it is also essential that they be exposed to activities that require deeper engagement and prolonged thinking.  Please continue to post on the issue of how technology is influencing student learning and engagement.
